Little Guys summer vacation

What a wonderful day we had. My grandson is now 8 yrs old,we have so much fun together. Today we slept late, he had his usual cinnamon French toast and then we went to Enterprize Lanes and went bowling. He played a few arcade games when we finished bowling. Then we went and bought some fireworks, I told him that I had never in my life  bought fireworks, they just seamed like such a waste of hard earned money.but now. there is this little person in my life that I do a lot of new things with. We came home and went swimming, then we had some really nice T bone steaks for dinner. After dinner we went outside and shot fireworks. He had so much fun and even made Nana do some sparklers. It is now 10 pm and we are both so tired. We are fixing to snuggle up and watch a movie. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful grandson to share my life with. I love seeing the world through his eyes, I definitely get a new perspective on life though the eyes of a child. I can't wait to see what I see through his eyes tomorrow.  I am so glad he is here at least for a new days.

I have been sick this past week and have been sleeping a lot. Finally starting to feel better. Brayden came Friday after school, I was so happy to see him. This was his last day of school, so it is now official, he is a big 3rd grader. I cannot believe how fast he is growing up, almost to fast. It rained all weekend, so we did not get to do anything fun. Last weekend I took him to a fishing derby at Sunset Lake. He only caught a tiny brim. But they had a live dj there playing music and giving out prizes. He entered the dance contest for kids only and he won. He won a nice Shakespear rod  and reel, a pretty blue,(his favorite color). He was so proud of himself, he just couldnot believe that he won. I was very proud of him for trying. He said, I can't dance Nana, I said yes you can, you never know until you try. I think he learned a very valuable lesson that day. Believe in yourself, and others will see how awesome you are too.

I have been painting a lot. Today I cleaned out my carport and vacuumed the pool. Man that just about killed me, I believe I will have to go get in the hot tub for a while, my back is killing me. I sold this painting last week, I finished it that night, took a picture and posted it on facebook, like I always do. Within 5 minutes of posting the painting it was sold. I wish they all went that fast.

This painting was done with oil on 16 x 20 stretch canvas. The name of the painting is "Lisa", because it reminds me of my best friend when I was growing up. She has the reddest crazy hair I have ever seen. I am thinking of doing a series of these.

Fleetwood Mac Concert - May 3, 2013 Little Rock, AR

I have always been a huge fan of Stevie Nicks, when she sings with Fleetwood Mac or working on her solo career. I just admire this classy lady so much. I have always been a little bit of a free spirit and dance to my own beat, my clothes attire, have never been your standard what most girls where. When I was working as a computer programmer some of the girls  at work use to call me Stevie on certain days, when I would where something well, I guess Stevie Nicks looking. I was never trying to be like her, I was just always me being me, but when they put me in the same class as her, that is a compliment I will surely take. After 10 yrs at that job I finally quit and got me a job programming with a different company, the manger there would say, Man that is  some getup you got on today. I have never gotten the chance to see Fleetwood Mac in concert, and I am so glad I finally did. The concert was amazing and when she first came on stage, I got a tear in my eye. Ok, so I cried. I guess I just never thought that would happen and so glad it did. The band was fabulous. It was the most amazing night in my life. When I was leaving, I walked by a limo and I could see the man inside, he was looking at me, and he got wide eyed and spun around, I kept walking, and I heard him say, I thought that was "her". I got a big giggle over that one.
